Our precast concrete fencing is the best on the market, made locally by American Precast Concrete. American Precast Concrete fencing is the go-to choice when our clients want a rich, authentic look and feel of a masonry block wall, but at a fraction of the cost.
Landscape architects, government entities, and developers now rely on precast concrete fencing due to its durability, aesthetics, ease of installation and because its maintenance free.
How is Precast Concrete Installed?
The old pink and gray cinder block or slump stone walls were incredibly invasive to install. Prior to precast concrete, you would need to dig continuous trenches for the block wall footing. Your landscape would be shredded and you’d have a ditch and piles of dirt spread about your property.
With American Precast Concrete, special grooved posts are installed in post footings every 5’ (no trench!). The dirt is usually removed the same day or spread into the planter areas. The concrete footings are then allowed to set.
12”x5’ long Interlocking panels are then slid into the grooves, locking one on top of the next. You can achieve walls ranging in height from 12” to 14’ and more! We use less labor, less equipment, and can install precast privacy walls faster than the old block walls.
What Are My Color Choices? Unlike pink, gray and yellow cinder blocks, American Precast Concrete has a wide pallet range. The color is not sprayed on or applied to the surface. A custom blending technique infuses the concrete with color in a one step process. The result is a deep, rich color of your choosing!
In fact, you can even mix different color posts and panels to make your new precast wall as distinctive as your home!
Will Precast Walls Rot, Peel or Flake? No! American Precast Concrete is resistant to insects, weather damage, and since the concrete is solid throughout, including the color, it will never peel or flake.
This is virtually a maintenance free fence!
Is It Easy To Repair Precast Walls? Precast walls are maintenance free. However, if your neighbor steps on the accelerator instead of the brake and plows through your wall, .American Precast Concrete walls are a cinch to repair!
The old cinder block walls, when damaged, would need to be removed in a “step down” pattern, often resulting in many more undamaged blocks being removed and discarded. New rebar structural rods would then need to be core drilled into the old footing, and that's if the continuous footing was not damaged as well,
With American Precast Walls and Fences, the good 12”x5’ panels can be slid back up the grooves and reinstalled after the damaged panels are removed. The posts also can be individually replaced rather than a continous footing.
How Strong Is Precast Concrete? American Precast Concrete products are all manufactured with rebar reinforcing steel within each panel or post. Precast concrete is better in quality that cinder block, slump stone or split face block.
For high moisture areas such as beachfront communities and homes, American Precast Concrete can epoxy coat the rebar to minimize rust.
And because precast concrete is an interlocking system, it is much more “seismic friendly!”
